If you spend time around powder booths or baghouses, you already know one good cartridge can save a week of headaches. What’s inside and how it’s built

Base is polyester nonwoven; then a special micro-porous film is coated on the surface for higher capture and better dust release. Quick process flow (kept practical, not academic):

  • Materials: spun-bond polyester (200–260 g/m²), optional antistatic fibers, gasket elastomer (NBR/Silicone).
  • Coating method: uniform film application (PTFE-like), calendering, and cure—aimed at stable pore size.
  • Pleating: controlled pleat height for airflow; galvanized or SS end caps bonded with low-VOC adhesive.
  • Testing: media tested per VDI 3926 dust loading; assemblies checked for ΔP and leaks (ASTM D2986/ISO 12500-adj.).

Testing standards referenced in the lab: ISO 16890 for efficiency classification, ASHRAE 52.2 for particle size capture, and VDI 3926 for pulse-clean dust loading. To be honest, plants care more about ΔP stability than lab curves—but both matter.

Customization and real-plant feedback

Dimensions (OD/ID/length), gasket type, collar style, and antistatic options are configurable. A powder-coat line I visited swapped in this polyester filter cartridge on a Friday night; on Monday they reported ≈18% lower ΔP at the same airflow, and extended changeouts by six months—small sample size, sure, but it tracks with the lab data.

Good practices to stretch service life

  • Size air-to-cloth ≈1.0–1.5 m/min; avoid starved or overloaded fans.
  • Pulse at ΔP, not on a fixed timer; dry, oil-free compressed air.
  • Precoat for sticky dusts; keep humidity
