The dust filter is the core of the air purification system, but many users do not know when to replace it. In fact, it is not complicated to judge the life of the filter. You only need to pay attention to the following three key signals:
1. Abnormal operation of the equipment
When the air volume of the purifier is significantly reduced, the noise becomes louder, or there is odor rebound at the air outlet, this is usually a clear signal that the filter is blocked. Just like wearing a mask and breathing is not smooth, the filter element will be replaced after the expiration date, which will greatly reduce the purification efficiency.
2. Changes in the appearance of the filter element
Take out the filter element for inspection. If you see that the whole is black, the dust is heavy, or it is deformed or damaged, it means that the filtering capacity has been seriously reduced. In particular, the filter element that is damp and moldy will not only fail but also become a source of pollution.
3. Use environment and duration
Generally, it is recommended to replace the household HEPA filter element every 6-12 months, but the actual life span will vary greatly depending on the environment. For example, in the haze season or industrial workshop, the filter element may need to be replaced every 2-3 months. It is recommended to record the installation date when using the new filter element, and focus on the first two signals before expiration.
